What people don’t often realize, is that most bridal hairstyles contain some form of extensions! There are plenty of styles, hair types and textures that don’t need them but if you want to take your wedding hairstyle to the next level.. GET EXTENSIONS. Today I am sharing the best clip in hair extensions for wedding day and why they are preferred to other forms of extensions.
Why Clip-Ins?
Clip In Extensions are my preferred type of extension on wedding day. Some brides choose to get ‘hand tied’ wefts sewn into their hair for every day use, but when it comes to wedding day, I often find they don’t have as much density as clip ins and if not placed correctly on the head, it can impact how they hairstyle turns out. With Clip-In’s I can place them wherever I need fullness and length, they can also be used for years since they are typically not worn day to day.
Why should I not use ‘Halo’ Extensions?
These are great for someone that wants to add fullness and length quickly with an easy installation method. On wedding day I often find that the wiring gets in the way and and I end up just using the clips and tucking the wiring underneath the hair. I have use them brides before, so they are not a deal breaker, but not my favorite for wedding day hairstyles.

What I love: I love that the hair is the same density from the base of the clips to the ends. This is amazing for styling big volume curls or glam waves, since we want to see fullness throughout. They also now carry textured clip ins for all the girlies with curly hair!
Luxy Hair Extensions
Luxy Hair Extensions are also a favorite for bridal hair. They have a great selection of colors and don’t just offer clip ins, they also offer halos, toppers, fill ins and more!
What I love: I love the color options and they even have extensions for grey hair. They also have options for ‘fill ins’ when you don’t need a full set of extensions and “toppers” when you need more fullness at the top. They also have a hair recycling program for extensions no longer in use.
BFB Hair
I had never heard of this brand until a company I work with doing bridal hair and makeup recommended them to their brides! I’ve used them plenty of times and love how well they work with bridal hairstyles.
What I love: I love their ‘fill in” extensions, these are great for brides who have a good amount of hair but just need a little extra bump! You don’t have to pay for a full set, when you just need 2 wefts to get the job done.

I personally have not used these, but many bridal hairstylists recommend them for their quality and affordability! If you want your dream bridal hair, it doesn't have to cost a fortune. These are affordable but still give you great quality for the price. They don’t have as much density as the other brands, but they will work depending on your hair type and style.
What I love: They are a great starter set that you can try out to see if you really want to use extensions. Since they are on Amazon as well, they can be ordered last minute!
